How does it all work for me? At Affinity we have devised a matching system to minimise embarassment and rejection. It works on the principal of confirmed matches which is just another way of saying we ensure that someone wants to meet you first. We will perform regular matching for you and when we do so you are what we term a Requestor. The other party is the Requestee and he/she will receive a Suggested Match. If they accept the match they will contact us, and we will then send you a Confirmed Match with the other party's contact details. The following explains the sequence of events. |

||
| Event | Result | ||
| 1) | Matching run performed for requestor | Unconfirmed matches generated | |
| 2) | Requestor's profile is sent to the several chosen people (Requestees) without any surname or contact information. | We speak with the Reqestees to see if they would like to meet the Requestor. | ![]() |
| 3) | For those Requestees who say YES to Requestor, we then send the Requestees' profiles to the Requestor with contact information. | The Requestor has a number of profiles of people to review who he/she knows have already said they would like to meet. | |
| 4) | Requestor contacts those who appeal. | Contact made without risk of rejection. | |
